Textile recycling - Give a sheet for the planet
We are teaming up with Blocktexx to divert textiles and clothing away from landfill.
BlockTexx breaks down textiles and clothing into new recycled materials that are used by Australian manufacturers to create a range of new products – they won’t be going into landfill, burnt, or exported overseas.
An average household has around 15kg of old, worn out or unwanted linen. Do your bit for the planet and recycle your unwanted linen and give it a new life.
This circular economy solution benefits community and the environment and will offset 30 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent for every tonne of textile waste processed.
Eurobodalla residents can drop off their unwanted household linen, sheets and towels for free at Council's Mourya Transfer Station as part of the 'Give a Sheet for the Planet' annual event.
