Rates Subsidy grants

Each year Council provides grant funding to a number of community groups to partially subsidise the annual rates and charges showing on the rates notice for registered charities and not-for-profit sporting, social and cultural organisations providing community services or benefits. This can include historical societies, schools of arts, CWA, public halls, pre-school kindergartens, and other community service organisations.

For the 2024-25 financial year there is a total of $30,836 available in the Rates Subsidy Grant budget.

  • Public notice of the amount of rates grants will be given in the draft Operational Plan for the year in which the fee is to be subsidised, to satisfy section 610E of the LGA.
