Project details
We are working to:
- design and build a four-leg roundabout at the intersection of George Bass Drive, Sylvan Street and Kuppa Avenue
- include islands and paths within the roundabout to assist pedestrians and cyclists crossing the roads
- install kerb and gutter and stormwater drainage
- improve lighting of the intersection.

- improved road safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians
- improved efficiency and accessibility for the transport network.
Project updates
2024
- Our design team worked on the detailed plan for the intersection.
- We engaged specialist contractors to work on the design for the lighting and service relocations.
- We began initial environmental and heritage assessments of the site.
2023
- We were awarded funding for the project under the Fixing Country Roads program in October.
