Crews will be on-site for the next few months. We have closed Broulee Road at the entrance to Broulee village to ensure the work can be completed safely and with minimal disruption to George Bass Drive. Visit Live Traffic NSW for more information.

Project details

We are working to:

  • design and build a four-leg roundabout at the intersection of George Bass Drive and Broulee Road
  • include islands and paths within the roundabout to assist pedestrians and cyclists crossing the roads
  • replace a water main and relocate other underground services such as Telstra
  • upgrade lighting of the intersection.

In conjunction with this project, we will also upgrade a section of Broulee Road to the west, ensuring it seamlessly connects with the new roundabout.

Benefits to the community:

  • improved road safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians
  • improved traffic flow.

We're building a roundabout at this intersection to improve safety and traffic flow. With more cars on the road and a history of serious crashes here, the roundabout will help keep everyone moving smoothly and safely.

Environmental impacts:

We’ve prepared a Review of Environmental Factors to assess potential impacts related to the project's activities.
