Thank you for your presentation to the Public Access on 4th June regarding micro plastics.

I understand that you have been speaking to my colleague Chris Teague, the project manager for this site. We aim to reduce the use of micro plastics through construction of the new playgrounds with a product called play-matta, which is a mat version of the rubber soft fall, rather than the previous granular spray on soft fall. The new play-matta tiles, are a more stable rubberised product, which will not disintegrate into small microplastics. For future playground installations, we are aiming to replace them with a more environmentally friendly product.
