Lifeguarding season starts for 2024-25
Published: 20 December 2024
Red and yellow flags went up across eight beaches on Thursday 19 December. Lifeguards were pleased with the refurbished towers.
These towers seem to be a magnet to vandals each summer - people enjoy lighting fires on them. Thanks to our depot crew for the handy work and new roofs.
Eight beaches are patrolled by the Australian Lifeguard Service (ALS) from 9am-5pm during the school holidays.
Surf club volunteers continue to patrol their beaches as usual on weekends and public holidays, while ALS lifeguards cover the days in between from 9am-5pm.
On beaches without surf clubs, like North Head, Tuross and Dalmeny, ALS lifeguards will be on duty every day.
The service runs from Thursday 19 December 2023 until Thursday 30 January 2025. For more information on Eurobodalla's beaches visit our beaches web page.
