Our water crew will be on-site for a few weeks moving underground pipes to make way for the new roundabout. All going well, we’ll start building the roundabout in February 2025, at the start of the school year.

Project details

We are working to:

  • design and build a four-leg roundabout at the intersection of George Bass Drive and Broulee Road
  • include islands and paths within the roundabout to assist pedestrians and cyclists crossing the roads
  • replace a water main and relocate other underground services such as Telstra
  • upgrade lighting of the intersection.

Benefits to the community:

  • improved road safety for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians
  • improved traffic flow.

We're building a roundabout at this intersection to improve safety and traffic flow. With more cars on the road and a history of serious crashes here, the roundabout will help keep everyone moving smoothly and safely.

Environmental impacts:

We’ve prepared a Review of Environmental Factors to assess potential impacts related to the project's activities.
