Clean Up Australia Day

Australians are the second highest producers of waste per person in the world, with an estimated 7 billion cigarette butts and 50 million plastic bags littered in Australia every year.

Clean Up Australia Day attracts more than half a million volunteers Australia-wide. It's also the nation's largest community-based environmental event.

Council has proudly supported Clean Up Australia Day for the past 23 years, helping communities to clean up and conserve Eurobodalla's environment.

Thanks to all those volunteers and businesses who have helped clean up our waterways, parklands and beaches over the years.

Clean Up Australia Day 2025

• Friday 28 February 2025 for schools
• Sunday 2 March 2025 for the local community

Everyday clean up

No need to wait for March to come around, you can also register to help clean up Australia every day. After you register, you'll receive a starter kit with helpful materials to run your site.
