March's matinee screening is an American melodrama and a tragic love story.
Starring Elizabeth Taylor, Montgomery Cliff and Shelly Winters, the film is directed by famed Hollywood director George Stevens. We’ll follow the story of a young social climber, the nephew of a rich industrialist who becomes romantically involved with two women leading to tragedy for all involved.
The film is a product of a golden age in Hollywood in which grace, intimacy and craftsmanship are all on display. Today this film is regarded today as a work of art and is still widely revered. This is a wonderful opportunity to see quality cinema from Hollywood at its best.
