At its meeting held on 17 December 2024, Council resolved (MIN.CAR24/011) to place the draft Plan of Management (POM) for Hanging Rock, Corrigans Beach and Observation Point reserves on public exhibition, having previously received consent from the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

The draft POM applies to two Crown reserves:

  • 60913 - Observation Point Reserve.

The POM governs uses and guides development of these Crown reserves to support the wide range of leisure, sport, recreation and events that occur in the area. The Plan was developed in conjunction with key stakeholders and prepared due to amendments to the Crown Land Management Act 2016 which require Council to manage Crown Reserves as public land under the Local Government Act 1993.
